who's tired?....

we are all a little pooped.
It's been a good, but long week.
We started the week with lots of travel days.
We spent Sunday night in Atlanta and traveled to Macon, GA on Monday for our first show back after layoff. We got up early at 6:15am Tuesday traveling all day to Fayetteville, NC for a performance there.
Then, Wednesday we had another early morning 5:15am on our way to Columbus, GA and we were there for 2 days!

So...lots of early bus days into show.

Friday was an easier morning we left at 10:30 on our way to Huntsville, AL and we stayed here all weekend.
Did you count how many shows that was this week?
It was 9!
Our usual show week is 8.
Before layoff we had an easy 5 show week so we haven't had this many performances in one week in awhile.
Lots of people have been sick/injured this week, which happens. :(
We miss them when they are out of the show, but our swings are amazing!
Joey Elrose was on as Lonny and Dennis this week.
It must have been fun, but I don't know how he keeps everything straight!

Here's a little video I recorded of Justin and Joey last night at intermission...lol

I also recorded a backstage tour video last night.
Did you check it out yet?

Tomorrow, we travel to Detroit, MI!
...never been there...
Any suggestions on things to do!
We have a week sit down there! We haven't been in one city for a week since Ft. Meyers!
Everyone is VERY excited!

  2. Saw the show last night and coming back again on Saturday for my 29th birthday! While you're here, eat BBQ at Slow's (but give yourself time as there is usually a wait!) and go into Greektown for awesome Greek food. You can also get an amazing sweet treat at Astoria Bakery in that area. But no trip to Detroit is complete without going to American and Lafayette Coney Island and doing a taste test. I'd be curious to see what the Rock of Ages cast vote is. Don't be put off by the area. The coneys are worth it. Bring cash! And check out the Grand Trunk pub on Woodward Avenue, near the river. From there you can see Canada, which, geographically speaking, is the true South Detroit. Enjoy!
