who's tired?....

we are all a little pooped.
It's been a good, but long week.
We started the week with lots of travel days.
We spent Sunday night in Atlanta and traveled to Macon, GA on Monday for our first show back after layoff. We got up early at 6:15am Tuesday traveling all day to Fayetteville, NC for a performance there.
Then, Wednesday we had another early morning 5:15am on our way to Columbus, GA and we were there for 2 days!

So...lots of early bus days into show.

Friday was an easier morning we left at 10:30 on our way to Huntsville, AL and we stayed here all weekend.
Did you count how many shows that was this week?
It was 9!
Our usual show week is 8.
Before layoff we had an easy 5 show week so we haven't had this many performances in one week in awhile.
Lots of people have been sick/injured this week, which happens. :(
We miss them when they are out of the show, but our swings are amazing!
Joey Elrose was on as Lonny and Dennis this week.
It must have been fun, but I don't know how he keeps everything straight!

Here's a little video I recorded of Justin and Joey last night at intermission...lol

I also recorded a backstage tour video last night.
Did you check it out yet?

Tomorrow, we travel to Detroit, MI!
...never been there...
Any suggestions on things to do!
We have a week sit down there! We haven't been in one city for a week since Ft. Meyers!
Everyone is VERY excited!

HeRe wE gO AgAiN...

We made it to Alabama people!

The show last night was a good time!

A few people in the cast are getting sick/ sick. Hopefully they will feel much better soon!

Since people are sick we've had a lot of swings on this week.
Last night, Joey Elrose was on for Dennis because Matt Ban is feeling a little under the weather.
When he was on last night there was an incident with the phone.

I'm going to share the story with you...
Now, I didn't actually see this happen because I'm walking around to the front of the house for my entrance, but I heard about it from many people backstage.

Apparently, after the Mayor's office scene Joey got a little caught up in the phone cord.
He reenacted it for me.
After the scene he puts the phone on the bar and walks off in the dark. I guess it got caught on his leg last night.
Imagine this...
He puts the phone on the bar.
Then, BOOM, and it's on the ground.
So he goes to pick it up quickly in the dark and fumbles a bit.
He puts it back up on the bar, but it's still caught on his leg.
Joey walks off and BOOM. It's on the ground again.
The lights are now just about to come on.
He DIVES behind the bar with the phone still attached and proceeds to crawl off through the kitchen door.
This was all quite loud I guess.
Lights come up.
Dom is onstage for the next scene trying to hold it together.
They get through "I Wanna Rock," but then during the scene after the phone is supposed to ring.
Well, Joey took the phone OFF with him.
There is no phone onstage.
Tush comes on and says her line "Sherrie, your Mom's on the phone."
Awkward.
She didn't realize the phone wasn't there until she got ON stage.

haha....oops.

It's been awhile...

welcome back!

We are back from our week long layoff!
It was great being home, seeing family, and then heading back to NYC for a few days!
I miss that city!!

When I was home in Greendale, WI I got the chance to talk to my high school's theater classes. It was great to share my experiences from tour with the classes and share all that I've done since high school with my old director Mr. Christensen.
I love Greendale!
I have a really cute hometown.

Before layoff we were in lovely St. Louis, MO.
Here's a video of Dominique, Alyssa, and I. We went on a walk to the St. Louis Arch that was near our hotel!

Here's what happened...
We went for a walk to the Arch, it was beautiful outside. My lovely roomie Alyssa thought it'd be a great idea to roll down the hill. Fun! Right? Dominique went with it.
I passed the offer to join and got out my camera to document the action.
Alyssa gave Dominique her glasses to hold as she rolled down. Somehow during this game of putt putt they fell off his jacket onto the ground.
oops.

Turns out rolling down THIS hill was not such a good plan. Other hills... great idea!
We didn't inspect the grass very carefully.
There was geese poop EVERYWHERE. Literally, all over the place. Especially closer to the water. Every step you took was at risk of being poopy. You get the picture...
It was sick.
And Alyssa ROLLED IN IT.
haha
That Alyssa.
SO glad I had my camera with me.

The Arch and the water was beautiful. It was a great walk after a long bus ride.

I have more videos I'm working on from Joey, Darren, and I's tourist adventures.
If you've never been to St. Louis check them out to see what you're missing out on!

Also, I created a FanPage on Facebook where I'm going to start doing backstage video updates hopefully this week!

ThAnK YoU FaBuLoUs FOX ThEaTeR!!

St. Louis...what a trip.

I had an amazing weekend in St. Louis.
I think we all did.
WE broke ROCK OF AGES audience records!
Saturday night we had 2,986 people in the audience.
The FOX theater is by far the most beautiful theater I have ever been in.
Backstage was amazing. The talent that has performed on that stage is incredible.
I know we all felt so grateful to be able to perform there.

ALSO- this weekend our cast was visited by our FABULOUS director!...Adam John Hunter!
It was such a wonderful surprise to have him in the audience Friday night!
He gave us all notes and cleaned the show, which is also really exciting! He hasn't seen the show since opening weekend in Providence, RI.

I did some major tourist exploring on Friday with Joey Elrose and our music director Darren Ledbetter!
We went on the Budweiser Brew Tour, went UP inside the St. Louis arch (so cool), AND went to the City Museum.
WE did all of this from 11am-5pm ...before our show that night!
Serious Tourists.

Has everyone seen the video I posted last week from waaaay back in New Haven, CT??

Well, stay tuned for video from my tourist adventures from Friday!
This week...lay off!
Time to go home...relax...see family..and get healthy...
I'm sick!
:(
I HATE being sick.
...but I guess I picked the best time to catch a cold.

Bring on the vitamin C...mucinex..and vocal rest..
Sorry to my family that I'm not healthy for my trip home.

Thanks for a FANTASTIC weekend St. Louis.
I LOVE the FOX THEATER!
