Did everyone see the Holiday Jam??

Everyone saw the Holiday Jam right??

well if not...watch this!

It's almost the New Year!

Our week back from Christmas break has been great!
Charlotte, NC has been a blast! The audiences have been rockin'! The theater is great- they have cabaret seating in the front, which is wonderful. I just love it when the audience is close to the stage!
Everyone does!

Today was a lazy day....last night we had a rockin' party at Vida for KATE EGAN!
open bar.
#phoenixistheshit.
LOVE THEM.
no seriously.
Kate Egan is leaving us for BROADWAY!
SO excited for her....but we are all going to miss her!
What an amazing company manager....
we will miss her SO SO much.

bAcK tO LiFe, bAcK to ReAliTy......MERRY (almost) CHRISTMAS YA'LL!!!!!

Back to real life....
We've opened in East Lansing, Michigan!
You know what that means???

No more one nighters!
We have AN ENTIRE WEEK sit down here!!
AND...it's only ONE week till our break for CHRISTMAS!!

Who LOVES Christmas??

ME !
I do!

What Christmas movies have you watched so far???
please comment on my blog and let me know people...

I've watched...
Elf, Santa Claus 2- (well I tried to..), MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, and Grinch..
I know.
...
not enough.

What is your favorite Christmas Album??

I LOVE love love.
Mariah Carey's and...Hanson's...
it's true.

Personally, I love giving gifts.
I love it.
I love receiving gifts as well.
I know I know..that's not the TRUE MEANING of Christmas!
But I like to get people things to make them feel extra special and LOVED.

I love to BE surprised as well, but I'm TERRIBLE at surprising people.
Why?
Well, because when I buy things I get WAY too excited about what I found for them and I want to show them or tell them right away!
....i just can't keep a present secret....
it's a Christmas problem.

Tomorrow is our company Christmas Party.
Can't wait.

That means we get to give our LAST Secret Santa present out...AND..we get to find out who our Secret  Santa is...
Wanna know who I have??
Can't tell you because he might read it, but if you ask me in person I'll totally tell you because I have a big mouth.

CLEARLY.
I have some SERIOUS updating to do on this blog.
Here's the skinny on Canada.
It was cold...It was Thanksgiving week in Canada..not America, but the people at the Centre in the Square in Kitchener were great! They threw us TWO after parties with dancing, music, food, AND a fun photo booth.
Amazing.

Here is a video from the first party!

...coming tomorrow...
(it's ON youtube..it wouldn't upload internet's slow...)

Also, the BIGGEST Regina fan out there came to see the show...
Natasha Lenartowych
She made me a beautiful self portrait!
check it out!
so great.
Here she is with Stephen Kane (Franz) and I at the after party!
It's true.
She dressed up as little Regina for all the shows she came to, which was  A LOT.
Girl even skipped out of high school to come see our Wednesday matinee.

Dedicated.

Enjoy some pictures from our Rock of Ages Family Turkey Day gathering in Canada!
family.
Alyssa and Patrick!
Dom and Katie!
Lisa and her FULL full tummy!
Katie, Stephen, and Joey!
More of the gang!

All in all...a lovely Thanksgiving!
Thanks to Phoenix Entertainment for the wonderful holiday meal!!
MUCH LOVE!

We all had SO much to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Wonderful Company
Wonderful Show
Incredible Experience.
It's going to be a great rest of the year.

After Canada....it was back to the bus...
Canada..it was fun...
Matt Nolan lost it wallet.
Shannon lost her phone.
and Dom lost his wallet...
No PERSON had to stay behind in Canada though...so I'd say it was a successful trip!

The next two weeks were a blurr...
seriously...
one nighters...baltimore..
one nighters...new haven...
lots of BUS time.
This is the view from my bus seat.
 Lovely isn't it.
My Sexy Secret Santa knows me well and got me MUPPET Christmas stickers for my window.
I have my name tag, Rainbow (my unicorn from Joey), and my Burger King crown and toy from my kids me.
That just about sums me up.

Stay Tuned for more videos and Christmas FUN!

Goodbye Chicago....

It's official...we left Chicago. :(

I was sad to leave Chi-town.
I'm from Greendale, WI, which is a suburb of Milwaukee...only 1 1/2 hours from Chicago!
Chicago is the closest we will get to my home on tour.
I had the most amazing week hanging with friends and family.
I am so grateful for their love and support.

Now....we're in Fayetteville, Arkansas....or Northwest, Arkansas!
Can I just say that the crowd tonight was INCREDIBLE.
We had an absolute blast.
For sure the most lively Wednesday night audience we've had so far!
The applause after "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" was insane tonight...Stephen is a ham!! :*

I'm working on a lil video of when we went to visit the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) in Chicago last week!
Fun times!!

Also....still TBA...part 2 of New Orleans, which was going to have photos and stories of the awesomeness that was Halloween on Bourbon Street!
The week with the family really made me slack off on the blog!

more fun to come...

WGN CHICAGO!

We are in CHICAGO!

You know what that means?

None stop family and friends for me!!
I'm from Greendale, WI, which is only an hour and a half from Chicago! This is the closest we will get to my home town so I am flooded with love and support from family and friends coming to see ROCK OF AGES this week!!
I couldn't be happier or feel more blessed!

My Papa came to see the show on Tuesday with my some of my best friends!

 Ray Postotnik and slurpies!

Another group of 20 people came on Wednesday!
And Yes, Mary Postotnik (my mother) and my Grandma Lucy were sitting in the front row last night!
The Postotnik fam and friends filled the entire 2nd row of the Oriental Theater last night!
It was amazing!
It felt like Christmas!
Oh..and Saturday... there is a bus load of 40 people coming to the show from Greendale.
Mary organized the party bus!
Gotta love that Mom.
The Postotnik's don't mess around.
Full out.

On Tuesday, we were on WGN morning show at 7:50 AM!

Yup, we were up at 6 am heading to the studio!
I rolled out of bed at 5:51.
That is EARLY!

Here we are hangin at the studio in full wigs/costumes!

Check out our performance!!
If you weren't up that early...click below!

WGN!

I love you Chicago!

a TaStE oF NeW OrLeAnS ....part 1...

The New Orleans experience...

Tuesday morning a few of us went on a lovely steamboat ride.
It was the Steamboat Natchez.
New Orleans' ONLY steamboat!
It was brunch and a two hour cruise on the Mississippi River for $35.
Check out the website: http://www.steamboatnatchez.com/

It was a beautiful sunny morning!

She thought so too.
Clearly this lovely little lady wasn't fond of reading signs that say, "No sitting or standing here."
...or noticing yellow tape.
Dominique snuck a picture of our friend living life on the dangerous side last Tuesday morning.

The food for brunch was eh...
but the old man giving us the tour down the river and the view was wonderful.
The boys had him give a shout out to ROCK OF AGES performing at the Mahalia Jackson Theater on the boat!
You never stop advertising!

This is the perfect group shot...almost.
(picture FAIL Joey...just a little more to the right.)

I took a picture of this picture they were trying to sell us.
It turned out PERFECT!
(sorry we didn't buy it...:/)

This is right before the lady came over and grabbed the pictures back from Stephen's hand!!

The wind was blowing a little hard at time makes us cold.

The view was gorgeous..

see....

ThE SuN wEnt AwAy...

The sun....is gone.

It's cold.
The 75 degree weather changed to 45 degree weather over night.
No more pool.
No more sun.
sad.

On a happier note...we have been cooking a LOT.

The Breakfast Crew of 245 has cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits...etc the past three days in a row!
AMAZING.
day 1...
Chef Joey and the Head of Cleaning Crew Alyssa
fancy ...no?
So usually Joey and Dom cook and Alyssa and I watch...it's a beautiful thing.
Yesterday, I made Joey an omelette.
Turned out more like a scrambled omelette, but oh well.
Yes..he IS wearing the same shirt.
This kitchen is a little small for three chefs, but we made it work.

Chef Dominique working on the turkey bacon.
He is a morning person for sure.

Day 1 we attempted to cook the turkey bacon, but it burned..pretty badly.
Not as bad as the chicken back in York, but you get the idea.

Dominique figured out that the turkey bacon just needs extra love and attention.
You have to turn that shit like all the time or it sticks to the pan BAD.

Just perfection.

Day 3!
Alyssa is the official EGG CRACKER as well.
She has perfected her skills at keeping the yoke out for egg whites as well!

Alyssa cracked too many eggs in one bowl to whisk them.
problem.
Yeah...she's still in the robe too :)
Today, Dominique is still very happy.

Day 3 genius idea....BISCUITS!
I cooked them jussssst right.

Family Breakfast setup.
beautiful.

Sun SUN SUN...

Hello SUN! HELLO Durham!
We took our first group FLIGHT! and......
We made it to Durham, NC!
...and it's gorgeous here!
(Alyssa has been laying out by the pool everyday!!)

We are staying at condos here!
We have kitchens!
Everyone bought too many groceries!
There is a beautiful courtyard here by the pool that is so relaxing and literally it has been sunny at like 70-75 degrees!

Some people went hiking and got inspired by the NC beauty.
They decided to try and film a mini movie.
Last night at the opening night after party Matt Ban and I told everyone we were going to film our own movie. We decided to call it..."Matt and Katie go hunting for unicorns"...Matt Ban came up with the name.
(Pretty goooood right!?!)
Of course, "Hey Mickey" was playing at the bar while we came up with this idea.
So far we're thinking a music video to "Hey Mickey" with a unicorn hunt...?
Stay tuned...

Tonight was an exciting night!
The wonderful Patrick Joyce went on as Stacee Jaxx! He ROCKED IT!
SO proud of him.
PS. the DPAC is an amazing theater. Seriously.
We are so lucky to be here!

Philly cheesesteak... Take 2.

We went to Geno's.
It was Sunday.
Our last day in Philly.
We decided we HAD to try Geno's Philly cheesesteak for dinner.
Just to say we did it.
We tried both of the "tourist" spots for cheesesteak.

We were underwhelmed..again.
(But, everyone told us we would be.)

It looks flashy and I love all the orange (it's my favorite color), but not the cheesesteaks.
You can't even get peppers and mushrooms on  them.
(Only steak, cheese, and onions...boring.)
The cheese wasn't even melted either.

OH!..and Pat's "freedom fries" are most definitely better!
That is my $9 cheesesteak.
Yes. Freedom Fries.

My brother ROBERT POSTOTNIK! was in town for the day to see the show.
That's him.
WE split the sub this time.
WE were not impressed.
Yes, I think that is Geno on our cups.
Dom gave it a thumbs down as well and he's a Philly cheesesteak expert!
Sorry Geno's...
Sorry Pat's...
We tried to love you.
We did.

Nausea, heartburn, indigestion.... Upset stomach... Diarrea!

Well no diarrhea...but indigestion for sure...
upset stomach?
YES.
I ate a large Philly cheesesteak sandwich from Pat's King of Steaks here in Philly.
...and fries.

oh yeah.
I ate all of that.

So did they...

We were informed that the two best places to get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich in PHILLY is either Geno's or Pat's.

A kind man, who offered to clean our rental cars windows informed us that Pat's was better.
We did not have him clean our rentals windows, but we did go to Pat's.
Thanks sir.

So these sandwiches were real good.
Personally, I love fries and I loved theirs.
I also thoroughly enjoyed this spicy spicy sauce I added to mine.
(but that's probably why I had an upset tummy)

What I did not like was..

#1 You have to eat outside.
Today, was cold and windy. Both not conducive to cheesesteak eating.
My sammy was getting cold while I was eating and I wanted that thing HOT HOT HOT.

#2 ...too expensive!
My sandwich was $10....+ an additional $6 for fries and a diet coke.
Sorry Pat's, but that's a lot.

Overall, good cheesesteak.
Poor decision to eat it before a performance of Rock of Ages in my panties.

Lesson Learned.

...the video that would NOT upload.

I've been trying to upload this video for days!...(literally since Monday.)
....and here it is...

The ROCK OF AGES tour bus plays:

Mad GABS!

..see long bus days can be really fun!

WiLd NiGhTs in Schenectady, NY!!!

THANK YOU Schenectady!

What an amazing night.
The Friday and Saturday night audiences in Schenectady were out of control!
(In the best of ways!)
Never have I had so much fun onstage with an audience.
The audience was literally singing with us from beginning to end!
Tonight, we had a standing ovation at INTERMISSION.
What a blast.
WE are SO LUCKY.

(OH. Did I mention that people...came ONSTAGE after bows during "Don't Stop Believin'!" There were about 6. crazy. Joey and I were escorting them off during the last chorus before the wonderful Ian Carr came in to save the day!!)

Real Life:
Not only do I do audio, but also security? Escorted drunk patrons Off of the stargaze during curtain call."

Facebook Status Quotes from ROA Cast/Crew:
Holy shit Schenectady this is insane!! Standing ovation for the end of act one!!! I can't even breathe....my whole life I've dreamed of this. I had no idea it could feel this good.
The stage was rushed- a mosh pit was formed- people were drunk and belting along-women were slapped-police were involved----guess we did our job right! and the best part....my parents and brother were there to see the amazingness that is my job! 2 shows left Schenectady--i challenge you to do more than you've already done! :)
Tonight's performance of Rock of Ages included 1,400 drunk people, 6 people removed from the theatre for throwing drinks, bitch slapping and hair pulling. Police are on the way. That's how you do ROA! — at Proctors Theatre.
Remember that time there were 1,500 drunk people, 6 people taken away from the theatre for throwing drinks, and women slapping each other. And then during the bows people joined us on stage with beers????!!!! Just an elegant day at the office that is ROCK OF AGES!!!!!!!!!!!!! you betta weeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkk
Patrick Joyce
Events that happened at tonights show (not necessarily in order):

-people standing and raising their empty cups of beer to us at Act1 Finale
-entire audience singing along to Every Rose Has It's Thorn through the entire song
-about 10 people coming on stage at the end of the Finale of show and dancing and singing with us...cups of beer in hand
-6 people getting escorted out of the show by the police

-one woman slapping another woman across the face...2 of the 6 that got escorted out

Schenectady, NY.... who knew?
I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe this??
It's real.
This all happened.
ROCK OF AGES is seriously a dream job.
